Hellhounds are robots built to resemble the size, shape, and function of a dog. Not only are they physically canid in shape, their behavior and senses heavily mimic that of their biological counterparts; having the ability to register odors (more precisely, the corresponding chemical substances) and track them. This makes them excellent for hunting down targets, as their handlers would give these robotic dogs the required scents/samples needed to locate them, and their A.I. simply does the rest. Also like real hunting party dogs, they are deployed on missions together in packs.
